YC (4306) Q2 Consolidated Revenue Up 4.43% Quarter-over-Quarter, Plasticizer Market Rebound Expected in H2
2012-07-10
[Financial News Flash / Reported by Cai-Lian Wu] YC Group (4306) reported a consolidated revenue of NT$4.808 billion for Q2, reflecting a 4.43% increase from the previous quarter and a 0.39% year-over-year increase. For the first half of the year, the group's consolidated revenue reached NT$9.412 billion, up 3.17% compared to the same period last year. YC noted that the global economic outlook remains uncertain, with demand still appearing weak. It is anticipated that Q3 revenue for YC and ACHEM (1715) will remain steady. However, if oil prices stabilize and rebound, downstream stock replenishment needs may drive a recovery in the plasticizer market.
ACHEM, a subsidiary of YC, reported individual revenue of NT$1.379 billion for Q2, with an 8.83% quarter-over-quarter increase and a 21.52% year-over-year increase. Despite a significant drop in international oil prices leading to conservative ordering to mitigate inventory devaluation risks, ACHEM's stable volume and pricing, coupled with the positive effects of Xinzhou Global's distribution network, supported a strong overall revenue performance for YC.
