YC’s July Revenue Reaches NT$5.88 Billion, Up 52.8%; August Expected to Stabilize

(Juheng.com, Reporter Chen Liwen, Taipei) Driven by restocking from film and tape customers, YC (4306-TW) reported a self-calculated standalone revenue of NT$5.88 billion for July, a 52.8% month-over-month increase and a 3.81% year-over-year increase. The group’s self-calculated consolidated revenue for July was NT$1.605 billion, up 0.88% from the previous month and a 3.81% increase from NT$1.546 billion in the same period last year.
Its subsidiary, ACHEM (1715-TW), posted standalone revenue of NT$393 million for July, a 10.64% decline from NT$440 million in June. The drop was primarily due to delayed shipments from Middle Eastern customers amid regional tensions, but this still marked a 6.1% increase compared to NT$370 million in July of last year.
YC noted that rising international oil prices, coupled with tensions in the Middle East, led to aggressive restocking by film and tape customers in July, significantly boosting order demand and driving overall revenue growth despite market challenges.
However, YC also pointed out that global economic uncertainty remains, and demand for the second half of the year continues to look weak. It is expected that YC and ACHEM will see stable performance in August, but if oil prices keep rising, downstream restocking demand could resurface, making revenue growth likely.
