2013-05-13
Central News Agency / Reporter Hsiao-Hui Chao / Taipei Report In April, both YC (4306) and ACHEM (1715), subsidiaries of the leading tape manufacturer YC Group, reported that their core businesses in tape and film achieved results that were either stable or slightly improved compared to March.
YC's consolidated revenue for April was NT$1.549 billion. The company noted that March's revenue included some construction income that was recognized due to IFRS accounting standards. Excluding these accounting adjustments, April's revenue was flat compared to March and up 0.8% from the same period last year.
ACHEM's consolidated revenue for April was NT$902 million, reflecting a 1.5% increase from the previous month and a 2.73% increase year-over-year.
Looking ahead to the second quarter of this year, YC anticipates that the international economic situation will continue to stabilize. The demand in the Chinese market is gradually warming up, and with global central banks adopting easing monetary policies, export momentum is expected to rise. The company forecasts that both YC and ACHEM will maintain stable growth in revenue throughout the year.
