Taiwan's leading adhesive tape company, YC Group, announced its revenue performance for May of year 107. YC (4306) reported consolidated revenue of NT$1.763 billion for May, an increase of 20.04% compared to the same period last year. Xinzhou Global (3171) reported consolidated revenue of NT$125 million for May, a decrease of 2.35% compared to the same period last year.
Xinzhou Global's (3171) revenue for May slightly decreased year-on-year due to the seasonal downturn in packaging material demand in Taiwan and the impact of plastic reduction policies. However, looking ahead, the demand for electronic and food packaging materials in Taiwan is expected to increase in the second half of the year due to the overall favorable economic conditions. Additionally, the packaging business in Mainland China has turned profitable, leading to an expected stable recovery in Xinzhou's operations.
YC (4306) experienced growth in May's consolidated revenue compared to last year, driven by stable export demand for films, acrylic, and tape due to high crude oil prices, as well as continued revenue contributions from property deliveries in the Linkou Top Project. Looking forward, the tape and film businesses are expected to continue improving with increasing export orders. Moreover, Achem Petrochemical's operations will benefit from sustained high raw material prices, leading to a reduction in losses. Additionally, ongoing property sales and deliveries from the Linkou Top Project will further contribute to profits. Therefore, the overall business outlook for YC this year remains optimistic. |
