This afternoon, Taiwan's leading tape manufacturer, YC Group, held a ceremony in Neihu to celebrate the completion of its new headquarters building and the company’s anniversary. Group President Li Zhixian stated that since YC Group's founding in 1978 (the 67th year of the Republic of China), the company has grown from the smallest tape factory to the world's most fully integrated tape manufacturer, and is now also one of the largest producers of PVC and OPP tapes globally.
Achem's Lin You-sheng and Shin Kong Global's Jiang Wen-rong took over as chairmen this year and have set targets for the company's future operations and direction. Lin You-sheng mentioned that Achem currently has the largest global production capacity for OPP and the second-largest for PVC. The company plans to actively promote the integration and enhancement of R&D and sales capabilities, accelerate the expansion and development of new product lines, and expects new products to account for 10-15% of future revenue.
As for production capacity, he estimates that OPP tape will reach an annual capacity of 2.87 billion square meters and PVC tape will reach an annual capacity of 270 million square meters. In the future, the company aims to offer the most competitive products and services, striving to build a global tape empire. YC Group stated that to uphold the company's spirit of "Integrity, Stability, Innovation, and Sustainable Development," the headquarters building's landmark design is based on their key product, "tape." The building features a 360-degree curve design, combining modern architectural art with green environmental concepts, embodying the ultimate goal of "sustainable development," and leading the company to a new milestone.
The construction of YC Group's headquarters building, from land purchase, planning, groundbreaking, construction, topping out, to completion, took seven years. The building is now valued at approximately NT$4 billion, and it aims to create a comprehensive and happy workplace environment for its employees. |
