The tape leader YC Group announced its September revenue today (12th). The parent company, YC, was impacted by the oversupply in the Chinese film market, resulting in a 7.23% monthly decrease. However, its subsidiary Achem remained flat compared to last month due to a stabilization in market conditions, and Xinzhou Global saw a slight increase of 3%. Looking ahead to Q4, YC anticipates a more stable growth compared to Q3, given that oil prices have stabilized.
YC (4306-TW) experienced a decline in September consolidated revenue to NT$1.486 billion, a 7.23% decrease from the previous month, and a year-to-date revenue decrease of 11.44% compared to the same period last year.
The group’s subsidiary Achem (1715-TW) benefited from a stabilized Chinese market, which boosted tape market demand and maintained export orders. September consolidated revenue for Achem was NT$1.02 billion, consistent with the previous month, and the cumulative revenue for the first nine months of the year decreased by 13.8% compared to the same period last year.
Xinzhou Global (3171-TW) adjusted its sales strategy in the Chinese market, focusing on large manufacturing clients, which led to continued growth in Mainland China operations. September consolidated revenue for Xinzhou Global reached NT$155 million, up 3.03% from the previous month, with a year-to-date revenue decrease of 1.62% compared to the same period last year.
For Q4, YC expects oil prices to remain relatively stable, forecasting a more stable growth for YC and Achem compared to Q3. Xinzhou Global is also expected to perform better in Q4 due to stable growth in Mainland China orders and the peak season for cloud services.
