With oil prices and the film market stabilizing, Taiwan's leading tape manufacturer, YC (4306-TW), reported a slight increase in consolidated revenue for June, reaching NT$1.535 billion, a 2.17% rise from the previous month. Xinzhuo Global (3171-TW) saw a revenue increase of over 5% in June due to the start of shipments for optical products in China. However, Achem (1715-TW) experienced a 6.32% decrease in monthly revenue due to weak domestic demand in China. The company plans to significantly recruit new talent in the second half of the year as part of its expansion and global sales plans.
YC's June consolidated revenue benefited from the rebound in oil prices and stabilization in the film market, marking a recovery from previous declines. The cumulative revenue for the first six months of the year is down 13.38% compared to the same period last year.
Achem reported a June consolidated revenue of NT$850 million, a 6.32% decrease from the previous month. Cumulative revenue for the first six months is down 7.74% year-on-year. Xinzhuo Global's June consolidated revenue was NT$154 million, up 5.02% from the previous month. Cumulative revenue for the first six months is down 3.99% compared to the same period last year.
Achem's June revenue was impacted by weak domestic demand in China and a slowdown in sales. Additionally, the OPP production line from the Jiading plant was moved to the Ningbo plant, and the revenue from these shipments had not yet been accounted for. Revenue performance will improve once the equity transfer is completed and recognized in July.
Xinzhuo Global, benefiting from steady growth in its Taiwan market, saw improved performance in June due to its expansion into East China (Shanghai), Central China (Wuhan), and North China (Tianjin). With a focus on large manufacturers, the company began receiving and shipping orders from May and saw a 5% increase in June revenue. The company's "Bao Dashi" stores in China also turned a profit in June.
Looking ahead to the second half of the year, YC plans to expand production at Achem's Hainan plant and pursue global market expansion. Additionally, Xinzhuo will focus on managing cross-strait packaging materials and cloud business. To enhance overall operational efficiency, YC plans to aggressively recruit top global talent, with Group President Li Zhixian personally involved in the talent acquisition and training efforts.
