YC Group President Passes the Torch: Transition Towards Professional Management
March 29, 2015
With an initial investment of NT$30,000, YC Group President Li Chih-Hsien leveraged a franchise-style distribution model to integrate upstream resources. Born in Yunlin, Li’s friendly demeanor and business acumen have successfully led YC Group to become a global leader in the packaging industry.
Li revealed plans to pass the torch this year and transition the company toward a management model similar to Formosa Plastics, placing professional managers in charge. YC will transform into a holding company with a focus on construction, while ACHEM will concentrate on production, and Xinzhou Global will become the distributor. Li’s eldest son, Li Shu-Wei, has resigned from his role as CEO to focus on the construction sector, while his second son, Li Chi-Cheng, serves as Deputy CEO of ACHEM Petrochemical and ACHEM, learning the production side of the business.
According to analysts, YC Group's total revenue is expected to grow by over 20% this year, driven by the ramp-up of new production capacities, with a significant revenue jump anticipated in the second half of the year.
