Li Chih-Hsien, chairman of YC (4306), revealed that YC Group owns 4,000 ping of land in the Linkou District of New Taipei City. Next year, the group plans to develop a 1,200-ping plot on Wenhua 3rd Road, constructing a 29-story mixed-use commercial and residential building.
Li explained that since 2003 and 2004, he has been gradually acquiring land in Linkou, and YC now owns 4,000 ping of prime real estate in the area. Currently, the land is being used as a warehouse, but it will be developed when the timing is right.
He added that YC owns three plots on Wenhua 3rd Road—800 ping, 900 ping, and 1,200 ping. Next year, the decision has been made to develop the 1,200-ping plot first. The 29-story building will have commercial space on the lower floors and residential units on the upper floors. The total project value is estimated at NT$5 billion, with an expected price per ping of around NT$300,000. Revenue from the project is anticipated to be realized in approximately 3.5 to 4 years.
