YC (4306) announced today (25th) that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Wan Chao Construction, will purchase the building located at No. 38, Section 3, Chongqing South Road, Zhongzheng District, Taipei City from the Pacific Cultural Foundation for NT$310 million.
The company stated that, in addition to generating rental income, the building has significant potential for appreciation due to its prime location in a high-quality school district and excellent living amenities. Therefore, after the current leases expire, there is potential to redevelop the property into small residential units for sale.
The building is situated in Zhongzheng District, near the Botanical Garden, National History Museum, Taiwan Art Education Center, and Post Office Hospital, as well as prestigious schools such as Jianzhong High School, Taipei First Girls' High School, and the National Language Experimental Elementary School. Given the convenient living conditions and the inclusion of renowned schools in the area, YC believes that the property has substantial potential for rental and sales value increase. Thus, after the leases expire, there are plans to redevelop the property, initially targeting small residential units for sale.
YC also mentioned that Wan Chao Construction's future projects will focus on first-time homebuyers and those looking to upgrade their homes. In 2015, they plan to launch new projects in the New Taipei City Subcenter and Linkou Phase II. The New Taipei City Subcenter Phase II site covers approximately 900 pings and will be planned for 30-40 ping residential units. The Linkou Phase II site, covering 700 pings, will also focus on 30-40 ping residential units. |
