Driven by strong demand for packaging materials, Taiwan's leading tape manufacturer, YC Group (4306), saw its March revenue surpass the NT$1.5 billion mark. Looking ahead to the second quarter, YC is optimistic about its revenue performance, citing the continued global economic recovery and the upcoming World Expo.
In March, YC Group’s consolidated revenue reached NT$1.519 billion, marking a 149.84% increase compared to the same period last year and a 76.83% rise compared to the previous month. First-quarter consolidated revenue amounted to NT$3.549 billion, reflecting a 155.42% year-on-year growth.
Subsidiary ACHEM (1715) reported March revenue of NT$344 million, a 60.2% increase year-on-year and a 47.9% rise from the previous month.
YC Group stated that global demand for packaging materials remains strong, with both shipment volumes and prices rising in March. The recognition of NT$261 million in revenue from ACHEM Construction also contributed to the revenue surpassing NT$1.5 billion.
Looking ahead to the second quarter, YC Group expects global consumer industries to continue recovering, further supported by the World Expo. Demand for packaging materials such as films and tapes used in food, clothing, and department stores is projected to keep growing.
The group added that subsidiaries like Ningbo Yashuo in China and ACHEM are expected to deliver strong revenue performance in the second quarter.
