[Performance - Plastics] YC's February Consolidated Revenue Reaches NT$859 Million, Expected to Rebound to NT$1.2 Billion in March
Reported by He Meiru, Times Reporter, Taipei
YC (4306), a leading packaging materials manufacturer, reported that its February revenue was impacted by fewer working days, with consolidated revenue reaching NT$859 million, a 27.92% decrease compared to January. However, this still represents an 89.33% increase compared to the same period last year. YC expects global consumer demand to continue its steady recovery, with March revenue rebounding and likely to challenge NT$1.2 billion.
As for subsidiary ACHEM (1715), February revenue was NT$233 million, down 26.1% from January but up 21.3% compared to NT$192 million in the same period last year.
YC noted that demand for packaging materials used in consumer goods has significantly increased across both Asia and the West. March revenue is expected to exceed January levels, with consolidated revenue likely to surpass NT$1.2 billion. ACHEM's operations are also improving, with its production and sales model in collaboration with YC progressing smoothly, making it a key future profit driver for YC.
YC Group is actively expanding its global presence. In addition to having over 40 locations in mainland China, it has three locations in North America, and the Netherlands serves as the shipping hub for Europe. Its tape plant in Vietnam is strategically positioned to serve the ASEAN market. YC is also aggressively expanding into emerging markets such as Central and South America, India, and Eastern Europe, with its global expansion expected to be completed within the next 3 to 5 years.
