YC (TWSE: 4306) and Li Peng International Co., Ltd. (a subsidiary of the U.S.-listed 3M Group) today (16th) signed a BOPP film supply contract at the Grand Formosa Regent. This marks the first public signing of a supplier contract by Li Peng International since its official inauguration. The signing of this supply contract will assist 3M in its global tape market layout, as well as enhance the future business performance and competitiveness of both parties. However, due to confidentiality agreements, the quantity and amount of supply were not disclosed.
Since becoming a subsidiary of the 3M Group, Li Peng International has fully reviewed its existing partnerships and business strategies. This contract not only reaffirms the stable partnership between YC and Li Peng International but also signifies the importance of extending from the past OEM production of PVC tape to the supply of BOPP film, a key raw material for packaging tape.
Charles McKenna, Chairman of Li Peng International, stated that the public signing of this supply contract represents a new level of cooperation between the two companies in the tape sector. The stable and trusting partnership will create synergy, and he is confident in co-developing new markets with YC.
YC Group President Lee Chih-Hsien stated that the collaboration with Li Peng International is significant. It not only confirms that YC's film quality and technical capabilities are recognized and adopted by international companies but also helps YC develop new customers and markets for film in the future.
