YC (4306), a leading tape manufacturer, plans to open 10 additional stores under its "Package Master" brand in the first half of this year. This expansion follows the successful opening of 20 stores across Taiwan and China last year, which achieved a revenue target of NT$200 million. By the second quarter of this year, the total number of stores is expected to reach 30, marking a 1.5-fold increase.
The new stores will include locations in Guangzhou, Shanghai, Kunshan Chengxi, Zhoushi, and Panyu in Guangdong, as well as one store in Linkou, New Taipei City. In April, further expansion is planned with new stores in Shenzhen, Foshan, Ningbo, and Hangzhou.
YC Chairman Li Zhi-Xian noted that "Package Master" employs a regional network strategy with points, lines, and surfaces. Since opening its China headquarters in Shanghai last year, the company has established key branch offices in Guangzhou, Dongguan, Ningbo, and Tianjin. The stores are strategically placed within an hour's drive of each other to optimize market expansion benefits.
Li also highlighted the group’s use of local production advantages to establish logistics centers on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. Each center will feature multiple distribution points and a dedicated logistics team, creating a highly efficient and cost-effective delivery network. This setup is essential for improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing service across the cross-strait network. |
