YC (4306), a leading tape manufacturer, has announced that its subsidiary Xinzhou Global's "Package Master" chain will expand to 30 stores across Taiwan and China by the second quarter of this year. After successfully opening 20 stores in the cross-strait market in 2011, achieving a revenue target of NT$200 million, "Package Master" plans to open an additional 10 stores in the first half of this year.
The new stores include locations in Guangzhou, Shanghai, Kunshan Chengxi, Zhoushi, and Panyu in Guangdong, as well as one store in Linkou, New Taipei City. In April, plans are in place to add more stores in Shenzhen, Foshan, Ningbo, and Hangzhou. This expansion will mark a 1.5-fold increase in the number of stores.
YC Chairman Li Zhi-Xian emphasized that "Package Master" succeeds by offering customers the most cost-effective packaging materials and solutions. The chain’s strategy involves a regional network of points, lines, and surfaces. Since opening its China headquarters in Shanghai last year, the company has established key branch offices in Guangzhou, Dongguan, Ningbo, and Tianjin. The stores are strategically located within an hour's drive of each other to maximize market expansion benefits.
Li also noted that leveraging the group's local production advantages, they are establishing logistics centers on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. Each center will have multiple distribution points and a dedicated logistics team, creating a highly efficient and cost-effective delivery network. This setup is central to "Package Master’s" operational success and customer service.
Despite a significant drop in the Taiwan stock market yesterday, YC’s stock closed flat at NT$27.9. |
